Project Name:

 Brookhaven Automotive Technology Expansion

Project Description:

 Brookhaven's new Automotive Technology Expansion, with a construction budget of approximately $3,656,000, is planned to consist of 12,670 sq. ft. of new combination classroom/bay space, 2400 sq. ft. of reclaimed existing shop bays, 4300 sq. ft. of remodeled existing space to provide tool room, office, workroom, and 500 sq.ft. of additional component storage space. It will also include 17,000 sq.ft. of additional exterior paved automobile staging area. The facility will provide growth for Brookhaven's ASE Certified Automotive Technology program.

The building's design will be consistent with Brookhaven's existing architectural style and incorporate concepts from LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), Universal Design, DCCCD Smart Classroom Guidelines and Building Guidelines as required to support the automotive industry recognized Alternative Fuel Vehicle Programs.

Project Progress:

 The project is complete. Classes are being conducted.
